There’s so much talk going around about building community, tribes, and networks. Whether we realize it or not, we all belong to one in some way, shape, or form. There’s always a Meetup, conference, or other event that we have at our disposal to attend or simply avoid due to confusion, intimidation, or being naturally introverted. We know that we have to put ourselves out there, but how?
You have to crawl before you can walk. Growing your personal community can be what it takes to foster successful businesses, brands and careers.
Pizza and beverages will be served before the presentation.
Wednesday, May 17, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM (EDT)
Disque Hall, Room 103
32 S 32nd St
Angelina Simms works as a digital media consultant helping small businesses and personal brands build awareness and expand their communities. She is an organizer for WordCamp Baltimore, serves as board member for Women Who WordPress, and is an active contributor in open source community projects. Giving back and helping others is something that she is passionate about and encourages others do the same.
When she’s not speaking at tech conferences and meetup groups, she can be found learning about web development, supporting members of the autism community, spending time wandering around libraries, and in pursuit of her quest for the perfect apple cider.
