It’s that time of year again! As we start winding down the 2018-2019 program year, it’s time to start looking ahead towards the 2019-2020 program year that starts at the start of July 2019.
Have you been interested in participating more in the chapter, but you’re not sure how? There are many opportunities within the STC-PMC this year, and all departments are open! It’s time for us to get our volunteers ready for next year so that we can build upon the success of this year.
It’s time to nominate yourself or another person for an STC-Philadelphia Metro Chapter Board position!

Elected terms are for one year (July 1 to June 30)
There are four elected positions, and several volunteer positions. If you are interested in either nominating someone or self-nominating yourself for an elected position, you must be both an STC member and a member of the PMC chapter. All other positions don’t have the same requirements, but they are preferred.
The current available positions for the STC – Philadelphia Metro Chapter Executive Board:
- President – The President oversees chapter operations and helps other volunteers plan, organize, and conduct chapter activities.
- Vice President – The Vice President organizes the chapter meetings and supports the President as needed.
- Treasurer – The Treasurer manages all of the chapter’s funds and financial operations.
- Secretary – The Secretary serves as the membership chair and keeps the records of council meetings.
We also have many openings within the council that are not elected helping to keep the Philadelphia Metro Chapter running, including helping out with maintaining the website, publicizing and marketing the chapter, managing our partnerships and sponsorships, helping to run the CONDUIT conference, helping with the Regional Competition, and helping our academic outreach team.
