Get dressed in your best ugly (or festive) sweater, grab a drink and something to eat, and don’t forget two pieces of paper (what?). Join us for our annual holiday get-together. This year we are going full 2020-style – Virtual.
On December 13th from 3:00pm – 5:00pm, we will play some games, do a holiday project, even have an ugly sweater contest. Plus there may be a few surprises. You don’t want to miss it!
We’ll also make a donation to a wonderful Philadelphia-based organization, Mighty Writers. It strives to teach kids to think clearly and write with clarity, and they have six different locations across the city. There is also a program for the children of farmworkers in West Grove near Kennett Square and in the Waterfront South section of Camden, NJ, as well as an On The Road program that can come to you. The organization’s programs are offered for free.
When you register for the party, we ask that you donate, if you are able, $10 toward this wonderful organization. If you’d like to give more, please do so. You never know how many of these children will be future technical writers or communicators. And during this pandemic, receiving a monetary gift from technical communicators will be an extra special gift.
Oh, and the paper you need? We will be making a small origami gift box with a lid you can use during the holiday season or for any occasion. Origami paper is not needed – just two sheets of copy or construction paper will do. We’ll show you how to change the size during the live demonstration. Directions are available for download, and an instructional video is also available. to watch at any time before or after the party.
So get moving! Register now! Can’t wait to see you!
