About our Presenter:

James Bousquet has been an STC member for 12 years. He was treasurer of the Southwestern Ontario Chapter for four years, chapter president for another two years, and also treasurer of the Instructional Design and Learning SIG for three years.

Jim began serving at the Society level on the Community Affairs Committee SIG Outreach Team and on the 2017 Community Budget Review Committee. He is now starting his second two-year term on the STC Board as Treasurer, chairing the Finance and Investment Committee and the Community Budget Review Committee.

The Community Achievements for STC have been announced this year, and, once again, STC-PMC has received the Platinum award “for thinking “out of the box” on unique ways to value members and re-think your 2019 conference location for increased attendance and volunteers.”

It’s a huge honor, to be sure, and one that we’re incredibly lucky to have. Its of my humble opinion that this year’s Platinum award is thanks to the tireless work of our chapter president, Danielle Villegas, a dynamo who is able to shoulder several heavy-hitting roles, is an incredible role model and mentor, and who made CONDUIT2019 the spectacular and illuminating day it was.

This year, the Community Achievement Awards will be presented during the Leadership Program, Sunday, 5 May, 8:00 AM-Noon at the Hyatt Regency Denver. At that time, the winners will receive their Community Achievement Award certificates.

The Community of the Year and Most Improved Community Awards will be announced at the Honors Event (Tuesday, 7 May, 5:00-6:30 PM) at STC Summit in Denver, CO.
