CONDUIT is the annual technical communication conference hosted by the STC Philadelphia Metro Chapter.
This year’s event will be a virtual un-conference on Saturday April 10th, 2021 from 1:00 to 4:30 EDT.
This year, we’re offering this afternoon of expert discussions for the affordable price of $12.00 per ticket. What a bargain!
CONDUIT attracts a diverse group of writing and tech comm professionals as well as those in technical writing and editing, instructional design and learning development, academia, UI/UX design and writing, and other professions. Discussion topics are not limited to tech comm and typically cover a broad range of subjects. If you have an idea for a CONDUIT topic or would like to facilitate a discussion, send your information to president@stc-pmc.org.

Unfamiliar with Un-conferences?
These are not traditional, presentation-based, virtual meetings. Unconferences are flexible, participant-driven, virtual events that promote spontaneity and open dialog about topics of interest. You’ll have a chance to talk with leading experts in the field who will be moderating the conversations as well as with other professionals (or wannabe tech comm professionals) like yourself!
How it works:
On the day of the un-conference, attendees will have two opportunities to vote for the topics they’d most like to hear in real time. The top three topics will be assigned to the breakout rooms for each session. These techcomm topics will include both presentations and moderated discussion. Once the breakout rooms are assigned the topics chosen by the attendees, attendees can attend whichever room they choose–or hang out in the main “lobby”!
